The Vivexotic Repti-Home Maxi Large is a timber vivarium built for reptiles that need space, heat retention, and a well-managed thermal gradient. Sized to house a broad range of popular species, it comes in three colour finishes — Grey, Oak, and Black — so it sits cleanly in any room setup.

Construction and Materials

The enclosure is built from 15mm wood-effect boards, which contribute directly to heat retention and structural rigidity. Toughened glass sliding front doors meet BS EN 12150 kite-marked standards, and the timber used is sourced from recycled material or sustainably managed forests. A matching cabinet is available separately for those who want a complete, freestanding setup.

Ventilation and Heat Management

Four large easy-access vents are positioned to allow meaningful airflow across the enclosure, making it straightforward to establish a temperature gradient from the warm to cool end. The easy-access design means heating and lighting cables can be routed through the vents without removing the vent plugs entirely — a practical detail that makes equipment installation and adjustment much simpler.

Assembly and Setup

Once assembled, running a pet-safe sealant along internal joins is recommended to improve longevity and ensure no gaps remain.
