The Vivexotic Repti-Home AAL is a timber vivarium built specifically to meet Animal Activities Licensing guidelines for bearded dragons. Constructed from 15mm wood boards, it retains heat effectively, making it straightforward to achieve and maintain the high basking temperatures that arid-species reptiles require. Available in three colours — Grey, Oak, and Black — there is an option to suit most room setups and keeper preferences.

Built for Heat-Demanding Species

The 15mm board construction plays a direct role in thermal performance, helping the enclosure hold warmth and support a strong basking zone. Multiple large vents and a pair of sliding glass front doors work together to allow heat to dissipate across the enclosure, making it easier to establish a meaningful temperature gradient from one end to the other. This is particularly important for species such as bearded dragons, blue tongue skinks, tortoises, and royal pythons.

Construction and Access

The vivarium arrives flat-packed and assembles using a single screwdriver. Locking screws hold the majority of the structure together, meaning the unit can be disassembled and rebuilt if you need to move or reconfigure your setup — first-time builders can typically expect the build to take around 15 to 20 minutes. The easy-access vents allow heating and lighting cables to be routed through without removing vent plugs entirely, which makes fitting and adjusting equipment considerably more convenient.

Finishing and Security

Once built, running a pet-safe sealant along the internal joints is strongly recommended to extend the life of the vivarium and prevent moisture ingress over time. The included plastic plug fits into the gap between the front glass panels to secure the doors — for additional security, a compatible lock is also available separately.
