What It Is

Ark Klens is based on benzalkonium chloride — a quaternary ammonium compound chosen for its combination of disinfectant, detergent, and deodorising properties. It works across a broad spectrum of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, and also acts against lipophilic viruses and certain fungi, making it a genuinely versatile hygiene product for reptile collections.

Where It Can Be Used

Suitable for disinfecting vivaria, terrariums, cages, food and water bowls, and incubators. At the recommended dilution, Ark Klens is non-corrosive, so it can be used safely on enclosure surfaces and equipment without the risk of damage associated with harsher chemical disinfectants.

Dilution and Use

For general disinfection, dilute at 10ml per 5 litres of water, giving a working concentration of 0.025%. This makes the 1 litre bottle go a considerable distance across routine cleaning tasks.
