Tropical Shrimp Guard 30ml is a dedicated water conditioner formulated for freshwater shrimp and other crustaceans. Tap water contains heavy metals, chlorine, and other substances that can stress or harm invertebrates — this preparation addresses those risks directly, making it an essential part of any shrimp keeper's setup, whether you're running a dedicated shrimp tank or a mixed shrimp-and-fish aquarium.

What it does

Tropical Shrimp Guard neutralises heavy metal salts and reduces stress on crustaceans, supporting safer acclimatisation when adding new animals or performing water changes. Protective colloids form a barrier against harmful substances present in untreated tap water, helping to maintain stable conditions that shrimp require.

Active ingredients and their roles

• Inositol — stimulates growth and supports overall vitality in shrimp and crustaceans
• D-panthenol (provitamin B5) — regulates metabolic function and promotes epidermal regeneration, particularly important during the moulting process
• Protective colloids — shield crustaceans from residual contaminants in tap water

Dosage

Use 20ml per 100 litres of aquarium water. For best results alongside dechlorination, Antychlor is recommended as a complementary treatment.
