How the Predators Work

Once introduced into a vivarium, they actively seek out parasites, reproduce in areas where prey is present, and naturally decline in number once the parasite population has been eliminated. The process takes several days to take effect: parasite numbers will first stabilise before gradually declining. In heavy infestations, more than one release may be necessary to achieve full control.

Ideal Conditions for Deployment

Predatory mites thrive in warm, humid environments — making a well-maintained terrarium an ideal habitat in which to establish a working population. Natural substrates such as coco fibre, peat, or moss provide particularly suitable conditions. Both tropical and temperate bioactive setups are well suited to this approach.
