Packaging and Transit

Crickets arrive in a ventilated plastic tub with egg-box cardboard included to increase surface area, reduce crowding, and keep the insects in good condition during transit. Airflow holes along the sides of the tub maintain ventilation while keeping the crickets securely contained. During warmer months, the outer packaging may include additional perforations for cooling; in colder months, a heat pack may be included to maintain a safe temperature in transit.

Keeping Them in Good Condition

To maintain nutritional quality between deliveries, continue feeding your crickets right up until use. Offer fresh leafy greens, carrot, squash, or sweet potato for hydration and nutrients, and remove any uneaten food daily to prevent mould. Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and draughts, and ensure housing provides adequate space and hiding spots to reduce stress and losses.
