ReptiZoo Acrylic Enclosure Flatpack

The ReptiZoo Acrylic Enclosure Flatpack is a purpose-designed housing for praying mantises, invertebrates, and arachnids, available in a range of sizes to suit species with different space requirements. Supplied as a flatpack, it assembles into a rigid, clear-walled enclosure that gives an unobstructed view of the inhabitants while keeping the setup lightweight and manageable.

Why Acrylic

Acrylic offers flawless optical clarity comparable to glass but with significantly greater resistance to knocks and impacts. It is also considerably lighter, making these enclosures practical to move, stack, or reposition within a collection.

Ventilation and Access

The steel mesh cover sits on top of the enclosure and is secured by magnets, keeping it firmly in place while remaining easy to open for feeding or maintenance. The mesh uses fine 0.09mm holes to allow consistent airflow while preventing even small invertebrates from escaping. The top position also allows lighting to be placed directly above the enclosure when needed.

Substrate and Planting

The base of the enclosure is removable, simplifying cleaning and substrate changes. The interior accommodates a substrate layer of up to 4cm depth, and the waterproof construction means live plants can be established without risk of moisture damage to the enclosure itself. Live planting creates a more naturalistic environment and provides cover and climbing structure for mantises and other invertebrates.

Plant Watering Port

A dedicated hole in one of the side walls allows keepers to water plants without opening the main door or lid. This keeps disturbance to the enclosure's inhabitants to a minimum during routine maintenance and helps maintain stable internal conditions.

This enclosure is listed in four sizes, ranging from compact footprints suited to smaller species or juveniles through to taller, more spacious configurations for larger mantises or setups requiring more vertical space.
