The Reptile Systems Zone 3 T5 is a high-output UVB fluorescent lamp designed for reptiles that require strong UV exposure — desert and savannah species in particular. Available in four sizes to suit enclosures of different scale, this tube delivers serious UVB and UVA output in a format that integrates cleanly into a T5 luminaire or electronic controller setup.

UVB and UVA Output

The Zone 3 tube produces 12% UVB, supporting the synthesis of vitamin D3 that reptiles would normally obtain through direct sunlight. It also emits 30% UVA, which contributes to natural behaviour and is an important part of a reptile's visible spectrum that humans cannot see.

Colour Rendering

Alongside its UV performance, the Zone 3 produces excellent natural colours within the vivarium. This makes it a practical choice not only for animal welfare but for clear observation of your animals day to day.

Compatible Equipment

These lamps require a compatible T5 electronic ballast to operate — they will not run on older magnetic ballast fittings. Use with a dedicated T5 luminaire or electronic controller for reliable performance and accurate output. For consistent UVB delivery, replace annually regardless of whether the tube still appears to be producing visible light.
