Construction & Reflector

The dome is fabricated from heavy-gauge aluminium with a highly reflective interior, directing light and heat output downward into the enclosure rather than losing it to scatter. This makes it well suited to use with basking bulbs or ceramic heat emitters where concentrated output matters.

Fitting & Safety

The lamp holder uses a heat-resistant ceramic fitting, making it safe for use with high-wattage bulbs that generate significant heat at the cap. A detachable protective mesh cover sits over the dome opening, reducing the risk of direct contact with a hot bulb — an important consideration in enclosures housing curious animals or for keeper safety during maintenance.

Positioning & Control
