Reptile Systems Calcium Ultra

Reptile Systems Calcium Ultra is a high-grade calcium supplement formulated for reptiles, amphibians, and other animals requiring additional dietary calcium. Phosphorus-free and ultra-fine in texture, it's designed to adhere effectively to feeder insects or dusted onto appropriate food items — making supplementation straightforward for the keeper and genuinely beneficial for the animal. Available in a range of sizes to suit everything from small collections to larger-scale setups.

Why Calcium Matters

Calcium is fundamental to bone and shell development, muscle function, and a wide range of physiological processes. A deficiency in bioavailable calcium is one of the most common causes of Metabolic Bone Disease (MBD) and other hypocalcaemia-related conditions in captive reptiles. Consistent, correct supplementation is one of the most straightforward preventative measures a keeper can take.

What's in It

• Calcium Carbonate: The naturally occurring form of calcium found in limestone and chalk. Reptile Systems Calcium Ultra uses a high-grade, impurity-free calcium carbonate with strong bioavailability — meaning the animal's body can actually absorb and use what it's consuming.
• Magnesium Carbonate: A naturally occurring compound essential to life. Magnesium aids calcium absorption, supports nerve and muscle regulation, and plays a role in hundreds of biochemical reactions within the body.
• Natural Attractant: Included to help encourage uptake, particularly with more discerning feeders.
• Phosphorus-free formula: Avoids disrupting the calcium-to-phosphorus balance, which is critical in reptile nutrition.

Formula and Texture

The ultra-fine powder consistency is deliberate — it coats feeder insects evenly without clumping and adheres well to other food items. The formula is free from impurities and combines its key ingredients at a balanced ratio specifically calibrated for optimal calcium absorption and storage in reptiles and amphibians.

Reptile Systems Calcium Ultra is available in multiple sizes, so whether you're supplementing a single vivarium or managing a larger collection, you can choose the quantity that suits your routine without waste or running short.
