Psittacus Omega is a complete extruded pellet diet formulated for medium and large psittacine species, with particular attention to fatty acid profile and the balance of Omega 6 and Omega 3. It is designed to meet the full nutritional requirements of parrots across a range of life stages and is available in multiple bag sizes to suit single-bird households and multi-bird collections alike.

Species Suitability

Psittacus Omega is well suited to genera including Ara, Psittacus, and Poicephalus, and is especially recommended during periods of elevated nutritional demand — young birds, birds recovering from deficiency, or those under additional physiological stress. For species prone to weight gain, including Amazona, Cacatua, Psittacula, and Eclectus, portion control is advised.

Feeding Guidelines

Formulated to constitute 100% of the diet, though offering fresh fruit and vegetables alongside is encouraged for dietary variety. Where supplementary foods are given, Psittacus Omega should account for no less than 70–80% of total daily intake — with the exception of Eclectus parrots, which require a higher proportion of fresh sweet fruit. Daily intake typically falls between 5 and 10% of the bird's body weight, with environmental temperature influencing consumption. Medium-sized species such as the African grey parrot generally consume between 25 and 45g per day.
