When and How to Use It

In cockatiels, for example, use begins from the second week of life once the neonatal phase is complete. For very young animals in their first week, Psittacus Crop Milk is the recommended starting point, transitioning to a combination of both formulas before moving fully onto this product. It remains the appropriate formula right through to weaning, at which point dry adult food should be introduced gradually to replace it.

Feeding Guidelines

Daily intake runs between 7 and 10 ml of prepared formula per feeding bout, per 100 g of body weight. The number of feeding bouts required each day will vary depending on the species being reared and the age of the individual bird — follow species-specific guidance when establishing a feeding schedule.
