Psittacus General Recovery is a complete nutritional formula developed to support sick or injured birds through the recovery process. It delivers easily assimilated nutrients in a concentrated, palatable form, and is available in two sizes to suit different needs — from occasional use to ongoing rehabilitation situations.

What It's Designed For

This is a support food intended for use during illness or recovery, not as a long-term dietary staple. It provides a readily available source of energy and macronutrients at a time when a bird's ability to self-feed or absorb nutrition may be compromised. Due to its high sugar content, it is not suitable for birds with crop candidiasis.

Nutritional Composition

Each batch is formulated to deliver a high level of protein and fats to support tissue repair and energy demands during recovery:

• Crude oils and fats: 19.0%

Preparation

The formula is mixed into warm water before each feed, with a solids concentration of approximately 25%. A stainless steel egg beater is recommended for consistent mixing. Prepare only what is needed per feeding session — any leftover formula should be discarded and not stored for later use.
