Feeding Protocol

During the first day of life, concentration should be built up gradually across each feeding bout — starting at approximately 1% in the first feed and increasing to around 20% by the final feed of the day. From the third day onwards, the formula should be prepared with warm water at a consistent concentration of 25%. Feeds should be distributed across 7–8 bouts per day in the early days to match the natural feeding rhythm of parent-reared chicks.
