Aluminium Frame Construction

Rather than relying on a conventional wooden support structure, this vivarium uses robust aluminium corner posts running along all outer edges. These lock the side and back panels securely in place, eliminating the risk of panels warping, wearing, or splitting over time. The result is a rigid enclosure designed to hold its shape for years of continuous use.

Lightweight Panel Design

Because the aluminium frame carries the structural load, the panels themselves can be thinner and lighter without sacrificing durability. The bottom panel is 12mm melamine-coated chipboard, the side panels are 6mm, and the top panel is 15mm — in line with the wooden vivarium standard that allows equipment to be screwed directly into the ceiling and held firmly in place. This combination makes the enclosure noticeably easier to build and to move when needed.

Maximum Front Visibility

With no need for bulky front support plinths, the full-height sliding glass doors extend from a bottom glass strip right up to the ceiling of the enclosure. A black runner sits between the two, keeping the aesthetic clean and consistent. Whether decorated or bare, the front profile gives a clear, uninterrupted view of the interior and its occupant.

Practical Ventilation and Cable Management

• Side-mounted black plastic vents allow the enclosure to sit flush against a wall without restricting airflow.
• A 5mm ventilation lip around the top and bottom panels supports consistent air circulation throughout.
