ProRep Vivarium (4x2x2ft)

The ProRep Vivarium range is a modern take on reptile housing, built around an aluminium frame rather than the all-wood construction most keepers are used to. Aluminium Frame Construction

Where conventional vivariums rely on wooden corner posts and panels for structural integrity, the ProRep range uses an aluminium frame along all outer edges. This locks the side and back panels securely in place, eliminates the risk of panels splitting or wearing over time, and produces a rigid enclosure built to last. The aluminium corner posts also remove the need for the chunky front support plinths found on older designs.

Panel Specification and Weight

The frame allows thinner, lighter panels to be used throughout without compromising strength. The bottom panel is 12mm melamine-coated chipboard, side panels are 6mm melamine-coated chipboard, and the top panel is 15mm thick — substantial enough to hold lighting and heating equipment screwed directly into the ceiling. The result is an enclosure that is noticeably lighter and easier to move or reposition than comparable all-wood builds.

Visibility and Front Access

With no obstructive front plinths, the full-height sliding glass doors run from a bottom glass strip all the way to the ceiling, giving an unobstructed view of the enclosure's interior. The doors run on a black runner and are secured with a plastic door latch. Whether decorated or bare, the front profile is clean and functional.

Ventilation and Cable Management

• Side-mounted vents allow the enclosure to sit flush against a wall without blocking airflow
• A 5mm ventilation lip runs around both the top and bottom panels for consistent air circulation
