Aluminium Frame Construction

Where conventional vivariums rely entirely on wooden panels for structural integrity, this range uses an aluminium profile along every outer edge as the primary support. This locks the side and back panels securely in place, eliminating the panel warping, splitting, and corner wear that can affect all-wooden builds over time. The result is a rigid enclosure designed to remain stable through years of regular use.

Panel Specification

The aluminium frame allows for a leaner, lighter panel specification without any compromise on durability. Panels are melamine-coated chipboard throughout — 12mm on the base, 6mm on the sides, and 15mm on the top. The thicker top panel meets the standard expected for screw-mounted equipment, so thermostats, lighting controllers, and brackets can be fixed directly into the ceiling of the enclosure and held securely.

Visibility and Front Access

Because the aluminium corner posts carry the structural load, there is no need for large front support plinths that cut into your view of the enclosure. The front features a bottom strip of glass topped with a black runner, with sliding glass doors that extend the full height to the ceiling. A plastic door latch keeps the doors secure. The overall front profile gives an unobstructed view of the interior once decorated.

Ventilation and Practical Design

• Side-mounted vents allow the enclosure to be positioned flush against a wall without blocking airflow.
• A 5mm ventilation lip runs around both the top and bottom panels for consistent air circulation.
• Rear cable management is adjustable and easy to access without dismantling the setup.
• Screw channels are recessed into the frame so exposed fixings cannot scratch furniture or surrounding surfaces.
