ProRep T5 Lamp Hood

The ProRep T5 Lamp Hood is a compact, well-built lighting fixture designed for reptile and amphibian vivariums and terrariums. Reflector & Light Output

An integrated polished aluminium reflector maximises the output of whichever T5 UVB tube you're running, directing light downward into the enclosure rather than losing it upward. The result is even, efficient coverage across the floor of the vivarium — useful whether you're keeping desert species that need high UV index or woodland species that benefit from more diffuse light.

Ballast & Start-Up

The hood houses an integrated electronic ballast, which means instant, flicker-free start-up every time. There's no warm-up delay and no strobing effect during operation — both of which matter for sensitive reptiles and for keepers who don't want to be troubleshooting lighting issues.

Mounting Options

The ProRep T5 Lamp Hood can be sat on top of a mesh-lidded enclosure, suspended overhead, or fixed directly to the ceiling of a vivarium using the included brackets and fixings. Before screwing into a vivarium ceiling, check that the provided screws are shorter than the thickness of the top panel to avoid any damage.
