ProRep Resin Rock Hide

A resin rock hide designed to give reptiles and amphibians a secure, naturalistic retreat within the vivarium. Modelled to replicate the look of weathered rock, this hide blends into most desert, woodland, or rocky terrarium setups without looking out of place. Available in two sizes to suit a range of species and enclosure scales.

Why Hides Matter

Access to a hide is a core welfare requirement for most reptile species. A properly sized hide reduces stress, supports natural thermoregulation behaviour, and gives your animal the security it needs to thrive. Without one, many reptiles remain in a chronic low-level stress state — even in an otherwise well-set-up enclosure.

Construction and Appearance

Cast in durable resin with a detailed rock texture, these hides are solid, stable, and easy to spot-clean. The finish is realistic enough to complement naturalistic builds, and the material holds up well to the humidity and heat typical of a working vivarium.

Choosing the Right Size

The hide is available in two sizes — choose based on the body size of your animal. The hide should be just large enough for your reptile to fit inside comfortably; a snug fit encourages use and provides a greater sense of security. Both options are listed as variants on this page.
