ProRep Live Plant: Dragon Plant

The ProRep Dragon Plant (Large) is a live tropical plant grown specifically for reptile and amphibian enclosures. It brings genuine greenery and structural depth to vivarium and terrarium setups, and works particularly well in bioactive builds where plant health directly contributes to the enclosure ecosystem.

Safe for Reptiles and Amphibians

This plant is cultivated with reptile keeping in mind — it is non-toxic and terrarium-safe, making it a reliable choice for enclosures housing both reptiles and amphibians. No need to second-guess compatibility.

Care and Placement

• Lighting: Bright, indirect light suits this plant best. Keep it away from direct heat lamp exposure or harsh midday sun, which can scorch the foliage.
• Substrate: Use a well-draining mix such as bark, coco coir, or orchid bark. Keep the substrate consistently damp but never waterlogged.
• Watering: Mist regularly to support ambient humidity. Water thoroughly once the top layer of substrate has dried, and allow any excess to drain freely.
• Humidity: Moderate to high humidity levels are ideal, in line with tropical or woodland habitat conditions.
• Positioning: Place in a sheltered corner or against the back wall where the plant receives ambient light and some shade rather than direct exposure.
• Maintenance: Remove dead or yellowing leaves as needed to keep the plant healthy and the enclosure looking its best.

Benefits for Your Enclosure

• Creates natural shelter and resting spots, helping to reduce animal stress and encourage exploratory behaviour.
• Contributes to humidity stability — particularly useful for tropical species with higher moisture requirements.
• Integrates well into bioactive setups, with root growth and leaf litter supporting microbial activity and substrate health.
• Adds genuine visual impact, giving enclosures a natural, living appearance that artificial plants cannot replicate.

Supplied as a large specimen, this Dragon Plant is ready to be established directly into your setup. Whether you are building a new bioactive vivarium or refreshing an existing enclosure, it delivers both function and aesthetics in one plant.
