It delivers a reliable source of clean water without the drowning risk that comes with open water dishes, keeping your feeder colony in better condition and reducing unnecessary losses before the insects reach your animals.
What It Is
Bug Gel is a water-based polyacrylamide gel that insects can drink from safely without becoming submerged. It replaces the need for wet sponges or water dishes, which can quickly become fouled and are a known cause of feeder insect deaths in holding containers.
How to Use It
Place a small amount of Bug Gel into a shallow dish inside your feeder insect enclosure, ensuring the insects can access it freely. Only put out what will be consumed within a single day — Bug Gel left in contact with uneaten food will go mouldy and should be replaced daily to maintain hygiene.

Bug Gel is available in two formats to suit different keeper setups: a larger jar for those maintaining established feeder colonies, and a smaller refill sachet for topping up as needed. Choose the option that best matches how you manage your livefood between feeds.
