ProRep Philodendron campii Live Tropical Plant (Large)

Philodendron campii is a robust tropical foliage plant well suited to bioactive vivarium builds. The large size makes it an immediate, impactful addition to rainforest-style terrariums housing humidity-loving species such as tree frogs, day geckos, chameleons, or small arboreal snakes.

Why It Works in a Vivarium

Philodendrons are proven performers in enclosed tropical environments. They tolerate the consistently high humidity that many exotic species require, and their broad leaves provide natural cover and resting surfaces for arboreal animals. In a bioactive setup, their root systems also contribute to substrate health over time.

Plant Characteristics

Philodendron campii produces distinctively shaped, glossy leaves on sturdy stems. Supplied at a large size, it is substantial enough to structure a vivarium interior from day one, reducing the need to wait for smaller specimens to establish before introducing animals.

Growing Conditions

• Thrives in warm, humid tropical vivarium conditions
• Tolerates lower light levels typical of enclosed terrariums
• Suited to substrate planting or positioning in a pot within the enclosure
• Compatible with tropical bioactive setups

Sourced through ProRep's live plant range, Philodendron campii is a practical, naturalistic choice for keepers building or refreshing a tropical vivarium with real, living vegetation.
