The PR Leopard Gecko Accessory Kit brings together the core equipment needed to set up a leopard gecko enclosure correctly from the start. Designed around the crepuscular, ground-dwelling nature of Eublepharis macularius, this kit covers lighting, heat, hides, supplementation, and enrichment in a single package — suitable for first-time keepers and experienced reptile keepers alike. For nighttime heating, we recommend pairing this kit with a ceramic heater, deep heat projector, or heat mat, each run on an appropriate thermostat.

UVB Lighting

The kit includes a T5 Zone 1 UVB lamp, providing the gentle, low-output UVB exposure that leopard geckos require to support calcium metabolism and overall physiological health. Zone 1 output is appropriate for crepuscular species and delivers a realistic light gradient across the enclosure without overexposing animals that naturally seek shade.

Heating

A 60W flood lamp is included to establish the basking and thermal gradient that leopard geckos depend on for digestion and activity. A heater guard is also supplied, protecting your gecko from direct contact with the bulb and allowing safe positioning within the enclosure.

Hides and Shedding Support

Two hide options are included to give your gecko secure retreat spaces at both ends of the temperature gradient. A dedicated shedding hide with a moss brick is part of the kit, providing the humid microclimate that supports clean, complete sheds — particularly important for toes and eye caps.

Supplementation

Calcium and vitamin supplements are included to support nutritional needs throughout all life stages. These are especially relevant during juvenile growth periods and for breeding females, where dietary shortfalls can have a direct impact on health.

Enrichment

Artificial plants are included to add visual structure to the enclosure, providing sight breaks and a more naturalistic environment without the maintenance demands of live plants. They contribute to the gecko's sense of security while keeping the enclosure easy to clean and inspect.
