How the Integrated Thermostat Works

Rather than switching the lamp on and off like a basic on/off thermostat, the PID dimming control continuously adjusts the power output to keep the basking temperature stable. The included temperature probe sits at the basking zone and feeds readings back to the controller, which responds in real time — smoothing out temperature fluctuations and reducing unnecessary cycling of the lamp.

Display and Controls

A digital display provides clear temperature readout and straightforward adjustment of your target temperature. The thermostat is adjustable from 5–65°C, with a measurement range of 0–70°C, and can be switched between Celsius and Fahrenheit. Compatible Heat Sources

This unit is designed for use with dimmable heat sources — specifically incandescent basking lamps and halogen heat lamps up to 150W. It is not compatible with fluorescent lamps, compact fluorescent lamps, LED lamps, mercury vapour lamps, metal halide lamps, or any other non-dimmable device.

Safety and Use

The dome becomes hot during operation and is intended for indoor use only. Position the dome and probe correctly within the enclosure, ensure animals cannot come into direct contact with hot surfaces, and follow the supplied instructions in full.
