ProRep Crestie Life Substrate is a purpose-blended vivarium substrate designed specifically for crested geckos and other arboreal species that thrive in high-humidity environments. This is not a general-purpose mix — it has been formulated with a defined moisture profile and pH balance to replicate the conditions these animals need.

What It's Blended For

The substrate is made from high-quality ingredients selected to meet the requirements of humid, arboreal setups. The open texture allows airflow through the substrate while retaining enough moisture to release humidity gradually — keeping levels elevated without waterlogging the enclosure floor.

pH and Microbial Control

ProRep Crestie Life is slightly acidic in pH. This is a deliberate formulation choice: a lower pH environment naturally inhibits excessive bacterial growth, helping to keep the substrate hygienic between cleans without the need for additives.

Live Plant Compatible

The substrate supports live planting, making it well suited to bioactive and naturalistic terrarium builds. Keeper-planted vivarium setups benefit from the moisture retention and soil composition, allowing roots to establish and contributing to a functional, self-sustaining environment.
