Product Information

The ProRep Beardie Feed Mini Kit is a grow-your-own feeding kit designed for bearded dragons and other herbivorous or omnivorous reptiles. It produces a fresh, living supply of nutrient-rich weeds and plants directly from your windowsill or vivarium room — giving your reptile access to varied greens you've grown yourself, with full knowledge of what's gone into them.

What's in the Kit

Everything needed to get growing is included from the start. The kit contains a peat-free compost, a herbivore seed mix, and an easy-to-use tray with drainage holes to prevent waterlogging and support healthy root development.

The Seed Mix

The seed selection covers a broad range of plants that feature naturally in a bearded dragon's wild diet:

  • White clover, crimson clover and red clover
  • Vetch, hawkbit and nipplewort
  • Dandelion and plantain
  • Shepherd's purse, sainfoin and hedge mustard

Why Grow Your Own

Wild-collected plants carry the risk of pesticide contamination or misidentification. Store-bought greens, while convenient, offer limited variety. Growing this kit at home eliminates both concerns, supporting healthy digestion and encouraging natural grazing behaviour in your reptile.

How to Use It

Fill the tray with the included compost, sow the seeds evenly across the surface, cover lightly and water thoroughly. Keep the tray in a warm, bright location and maintain moisture. Seeds germinate within 7–14 days. Once established, cut leaves above soil level to harvest — the plant will continue to regrow for repeated use. For reptile use only; not for human consumption.

Whether you're setting up your first grow tray or adding to an existing rotation, the ProRep Beardie Feed Mini Kit gives keepers a straightforward, reliable way to put fresh, safe greens in front of their animals on a regular basis.
