PLT Frozen Rats Pups 4g+

PLT Frozen Rat Pups are a staple feeder for small snakes, juvenile frogs, and birds of prey. Sourced from PLT — a supplier with over 30 years of trust in the reptile trade — these rat pups are ethically farm-bred and humanely euthanised, then packed into clear, secure plastic packaging ready for your freezer.

Who These Are For

At 4g+, these pups are sized for hatchlings and smaller juveniles. Suitable species include:

• Corn snakes
• Milk snakes
• Kingsnakes
• Baby ball pythons
• Carnivorous and omnivorous lizards and frogs

Ethically Sourced, Responsibly Produced

PLT rats are farm-bred under ethical conditions and euthanised humanely before packing. For keepers who care about how their feeder animals are produced, PLT's long-standing reputation in the UK reptile trade speaks for itself.

Delivery and Packaging

Frozen orders are dispatched in insulated boxes with dry ice packs engineered specifically for frozen food transit. The CO2 released by the dry ice also helps keep the box free from pest insects during delivery. During warmer months, additional dry ice packs are included to ensure items arrive solidly frozen.

Feeding Guide

• Thaw thoroughly at room temperature before offering to your animal
• Never use a microwave or hot water to defrost
• Remove any uneaten food promptly to keep the enclosure clean
• Do not refreeze once thawed

Storage

Store in the freezer and keep the packaging sealed to prevent freezer burn. Only defrost what you need for each feeding — proper storage helps preserve nutritional quality and avoids waste.

PLT Frozen Rat Pups are a dependable, ethically produced feeder that UK reptile keepers have relied on for decades. A straightforward choice for anyone keeping smaller colubrid species or other appropriately sized reptiles and amphibians.
