About PLT

PLT has been a go-to supplier for specialist reptile and exotic pet retailers for decades. Their frozen feeders are farm-bred under ethical conditions and humanely euthanised before being packed into secure, clear plastic packaging. When it comes to frozen food sourcing, provenance matters — and PLT's standards are consistently reliable.

Suitable For

  • Snakes — from smaller colubrids to larger constrictors depending on pack size
  • Birds of prey
  • Exotic cats
  • Other reptiles and exotic animals that take avian prey

Packaging and Delivery

Orders are dispatched in insulated boxes with dry ice packs specifically designed for frozen food transit, keeping every item solidly frozen on its way to your door. The CO2 released by the dry ice also helps keep the contents free from pest insects during delivery. In warmer months, additional dry ice is included to maintain temperature throughout the journey.

Feeding Guide

  • Thaw thoroughly at room temperature before offering to your animal
  • Never feed straight from frozen
  • Remove any uneaten food promptly to keep the enclosure clean and prevent mould or decay
  • Do not refreeze once thawed

Storage

Store in the freezer and only defrost what you need for each feed. Keep the packaging sealed while frozen to prevent freezer burn and preserve nutritional quality for as long as possible.

Choose the pack size that suits your feeding schedule and the number of animals you keep. Smaller packs offer flexibility for occasional feeding; larger packs are the practical choice for regular feeding routines or multi-animal setups.
