Product Information

Morio worms are one of the most widely used live foods for larger reptiles and amphibians in the UK hobby. Chunky, active, and highly nutritious, they're available in a range of pack sizes to suit everything from a single bearded dragon to a multi-animal collection. Choose your size from the options above.

Nutritional Profile

Morio worms are protein-rich and an excellent source of energy, though their higher fat content means they're best offered as a treat rather than a staple — once or twice a week is generally the right frequency. Their size makes them particularly well suited to larger lizards and other sizeable insectivores. Each batch is gut-loaded before packing, so your animals benefit from the best nutritional content possible on arrival.

Suitable Animals

Morio worms are a well-established treat feeder for a range of species. Particularly recommended for:

  • Adult bearded dragons
  • Blue tongue skinks
  • Monitor lizards
  • Large amphibians and insectivorous invertebrates such as mantis and tarantulas

Packaging and Delivery

Morio worms arrive in a ventilated plastic tub with small air holes along the sides to maintain airflow while keeping them securely contained. In warmer months the outer cardboard box may include additional perforations for cooling; in colder months a heat pack may be included to protect the worms during transit. All packs are dispatched directly from the breeder for maximum freshness.

Feeding Your Morio Worms

Keep morio worms gut-loaded right up until feeding time to maintain their nutritional value. Offer fresh leafy greens, carrots, squash, or sweet potato as food sources — these also provide the worms with hydration. Remove any uneaten food daily to prevent mould and keep the tub clean. Well-nourished worms deliver significantly better nutrition to your reptile.

Storage and Care

Store morio worms at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and draughts. Provide size-appropriate housing with enough space for them to move and burrow, and avoid overcrowding. Top up food regularly to keep the worms healthy and active between feeding sessions.

Select the pack size that suits your collection from the variants listed. Keeping a steady supply means your reptiles always have access to fresh, properly conditioned live food when they need it.
