The Microclimate EVO Connected 2 is a dual-channel, cloud-connected thermostat designed for reptile keepers who want precise environmental control across their vivarium — and the ability to monitor and adjust settings from anywhere in the world. With a capacitive touch display, per-channel IP-rated sensors, ramp time control, and full app integration, it brings serious functionality to both single-enclosure keepers and those managing larger collections.

Redesigned Display

The EVO Connected 2 features an all-new capacitive touch display with a smooth, all-glass front panel and gloss black bezel. Response times are rapid and the interface is clean — the kind of unit that sits on the front of a vivarium without looking out of place. The main control box houses all connections, with a single cable running to the display to keep cabling tidy.

Channels and Sensors

• Two independent channels: one dimming or pulse-selectable, one on/off

Multiple thermostats — including different EVO Connected models — can be managed within a single app, and you can invite other users with varying levels of access.

Channel Settings and Control Modes

Each channel can be individually named and colour-coded for quick identification. Control type (dimming or pulse) is selectable per channel, and each can be configured for heating, cooling, or fixed output. The on-screen menu layout carries over from the previous EVO generation, so existing users will find the interface immediately familiar with no steep relearning required. An on-screen temperature history graph is accessible directly from the touchscreen.

Ramp Time

Ramp time allows temperature transitions to occur gradually rather than abruptly — particularly useful for the shift between night and day set points. Rather than a vivarium jumping rapidly from a low overnight temperature to a high daytime one, the change can be spread across one or two hours, producing a more naturalistic thermal cycle for the animal.

Timing Modes

• Constant: single temperature or setting maintained around the clock
• Day/Night: separate settings for daytime and night-time periods
• Multi: up to 8 different temperatures or settings across a 24-hour period
• Seasons: different day and night settings assignable across seasons for year-round natural cycles
