Terra-Tec H2O is demineralised water produced to VDE 0510 standard, designed for use with vivarium humidifiers, misting systems, and rain systems. Why Tap Water Causes Problems

Ordinary tap water carries dissolved minerals — limescale being the main offender — that accumulate inside pumps, nozzles, and membranes over time. In hard water areas, this damage can happen rapidly; ultrasonic fogger membranes in particular can be destroyed within days. Limescale deposits also leave unsightly white staining on vivarium glass and fittings, which no amount of wiping fully prevents when you continue using hard water.
