Lucky Reptile HatchBox

The Lucky Reptile Hatchbox Incubation Tray HB-01 is a dedicated reptile egg incubation tray designed for use within the Lucky Reptile Herp Nursery II incubator. Up to ten trays fit within a single Herp Nursery II unit, and each tray accommodates up to 12 eggs — making it a practical choice for keepers working with clutches of small to medium-sized reptile eggs.

Substrate-Free Incubation

Rather than relying on traditional incubation substrates, the HB-01 uses a water-based humidity method. An egg insert sits above a shallow bowl filled with water, creating a consistent and sufficiently high humidity around the eggs. This approach is inherently more hygienic than substrate media and significantly reduces the risk of mould affecting the clutch.

Integrated Thermometer

The tray includes a built-in thermometer that monitors the temperature directly at the eggs themselves — not the ambient air inside the incubator. This gives a far more accurate reading of the conditions the eggs are actually experiencing, allowing keepers to respond to any fluctuations with confidence.

Construction and Cleaning

The HB-01 is moulded from a tough, easy-to-clean plastic. Between clutches, the tray can be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected without risk of damage, supporting good hygiene practice across breeding seasons.
