Sourcing and Preparation

Packaging and Transit

Live Copepods (100ml) are sealed in a plastic bag with 100ml of water to protect them during transit. During warmer months, the outer packaging may include additional ventilation perforations; during colder months, a heat pack may be included to maintain a suitable temperature throughout the journey.

Storage and Feeding

Once received, keep the sealed packet refrigerated and use within 5–7 days. Once opened, use immediately.

• Use a fine sieve to separate the copepods from the transport water before feeding
• Remove any uneaten copepods from the enclosure daily to prevent water quality issues
• Store away from direct sunlight and draughts at all times
