Why Large Locusts

Suitable Animals

Packaging and Transit

Each order is packed in a ventilated plastic tub with egg-box cardboard included to give the locusts space to spread out and reduce overcrowding stress. Small air holes maintain airflow while keeping the insects secure during transit. During warmer months the outer box may carry additional ventilation perforations; in colder months a heat pack is included to maintain a safe temperature on the journey to your door.

Keeping Them at Their Best

Store large locusts at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and draughts. Keep feeding them right up until they are offered to your animals — fresh leafy greens, carrots, squash, or sweet potato all work well, providing both hydration and nutrients. Remove uneaten food daily to prevent mould. Well-maintained locusts deliver significantly better nutrition than neglected ones.
