The FS Malawi Pellet Food is a sinking pellet diet formulated specifically for Malawi cichlids and other algae-grazing fish. Built around a three-algae blend and insect meal, it replicates the nutritional profile these fish encounter in their natural lake environment — supporting health, digestion, and colour without relying on artificial shortcuts.

Three-Algae Formula

The inclusion of Spirulina, Chlorella, and Kelp together is deliberate: each algae contributes differently to the diet, collectively mirroring what Malawi cichlids graze on in the wild. Spirulina and Chlorella also work as natural colour enhancers, bringing out the vibrancy of your fish over time without synthetic dyes.

Insect Meal & Digestibility

Insect meal is included to support easy digestion and reduce waste in the aquarium. This keeps water quality more stable between water changes — a practical benefit as much as a nutritional one.

Feeding Guidance

Feed once or twice daily, offering only as much as your fish will consume within a few minutes. Remove any uneaten pellets promptly to maintain water quality.
