Unable to fly, these fruit flies are straightforward to work with in the vivarium or terrarium — no escapees climbing the walls. Why Drosophila

Drosophila are one of the most widely used livefoods in specialist reptile and exotic pet keeping, and for good reason. Packaging and Transit

Cultures and flies are supplied in ventilated plastic tubs with small air holes along the sides to maintain airflow while keeping the insects contained. During warmer months the outer packaging may include additional perforations for ventilation; during colder months a heat pack may be included to protect the livestock in transit. The product is dispatched direct from the breeder to maintain freshness on arrival.

Keeping Your Livefood in Top Condition

Store flightless fruit flies at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and draughts. To maintain nutritional quality between delivery and feeding out, continue to offer fresh food — leafy greens, carrot, squash, or sweet potato all work well, providing both hydration and nutrients. Remove uneaten food daily to prevent mould. Specialist gut-load products can be used to further boost nutritional value before feeding to your animals.
