Fish Science Tropical Granules are a slowly sinking, insect-based granule food formulated for mid-water and bottom-feeding tropical fish. Suitable for discus, angelfish, cichlids, barbs, catfish, loach, and similar species, this is a diet built around how these fish actually feed in the wild — not around convenience or filler.

The primary protein source is insect meal, which more closely mirrors the natural, invertebrate-rich diet most tropical species would consume in the wild. This approach supports healthy digestion, reduces waste in the aquarium, and lessens reliance on wild-caught fish meal — a more sustainable choice without compromising nutritional quality.

Natural Colour Enhancement

Fish Science Tropical Granules include natural colour-enhancing ingredients — spirulina algae, paprika, and krill — to support and bring out the natural pigmentation of your fish without the need for artificial dyes.

Full Ingredients

Insect meal, soya flour, herring meal, cereals, yeast, potato starch, fish hydrolysate, molluscs and crustaceans (krill and shrimp), vegetables (paprika and garlic), salmon oil, algae, lecithin, antioxidants and colourants.

Feeding Guide

Feed once or twice daily, offering only as much as your fish will consume within one minute. Remove any uneaten food promptly to maintain water quality.
