Insect-Based Formula

The formula centres on a 36% insect meal blend, drawing from Black Soldier Fly, Mealworm, Daphnia, and Bloodworm. This combination closely mirrors what discus would encounter in a South American biotope, delivering a protein source that is both biologically appropriate and highly digestible. The grain-free and fish meal-free composition keeps the ingredient list clean and focused.

Natural Colour and Immune Support

Colour-enhancing and immune-supporting ingredients are built directly into the formula — not added as an afterthought. Spirulina, Haematococcus pluvialis, and Turmeric contribute to natural colour development, while Garlic, Kelp, Hydrolysed tannins, and Yeast provide immune and digestive support. Salmon oil and Hydrolysed shrimp protein round out the nutritional profile.

Pellet Format

Supplied as 3mm slowly sinking pellets, suited to the mid-water feeding behaviour typical of discus. The slow sink rate gives fish time to intercept food before it reaches the substrate, reducing waste and keeping water quality stable.

Feeding Guidance

Feed once or twice daily, offering only what your discus will consume within one minute. Remove any uneaten food promptly. Discus can take a few days to accept a new diet — gradual introduction alongside a familiar food can help with the transition.
