Exo Terra SolarGlo Mercury Vapour Lamp

The Exo Terra SolarGlo is a self-ballasted mercury vapour lamp designed to replicate the full spectrum of natural sunlight within a vivarium. Available in a range of wattages to suit different enclosure sizes and basking distances, it delivers UVB, UVA, visible light, and infrared heat in a single bulb — eliminating the need for separate UVB and heat sources.

Full-Spectrum Output

The SolarGlo produces a carefully balanced spectrum with tuned peaks across ultraviolet and visible wavelengths. This supports natural appetite, activity levels, and colouration in reptiles, while the UVB output drives Vitamin D3 synthesis for effective calcium absorption — directly reducing the risk of metabolic bone disease.

Heat and UV in One Fitting

Because the SolarGlo is self-ballasted, it fits directly into a standard ceramic lamp holder with no external ballast required. It combines a basking heat source with meaningful UVA and UVB output, making it well suited to desert and savannah species that benefit from an intense, sun-like focal point in their setup.

UVB Penetration
