Three Distinct Habitat Zones

A paludarium functions across three vertical zones, and this enclosure is dimensioned to support all three meaningfully. The terrestrial zone sits above the waterline — land area for plants, rock work, and the reptiles or invertebrates that never submerge. The riparian zone forms the transitional bank between land and water, suitable for semi-aquatic species that move freely between both. The aquatic zone occupies the base — a pond, stream, or still-water environment for fish, aquatic amphibians, turtles, or freshwater shrimp.

Waterproof Base and Drainage System

The extra-deep base is fully waterproof once the included tubing, elbow connector, and tap valve are connected to the drain outlet. A built-in bottom drainage system allows for straightforward excess water removal and routine water changes without dismantling the enclosure. The raised bottom frame also provides a secure mounting platform for a heat mat beneath the enclosure, supporting precise temperature gradients from below.

Cable and Equipment Management

Multiple self-closing inlets at the rear of the top panel accommodate wiring and tubing without compromising the sealed environment.
