Dragon-tail Plant (Epipremnum aureum)

Devil's Ivy (Epipremnum aureum) is one of the most reliably robust climbing plants available for tropical vivariums and terrariums. This specimen has been grown on and trained up a moss pole, making it a genuinely substantial addition to any bioactive or planted enclosure setup.

Growing Conditions

Devil's Ivy adapts well across a range of light levels and moisture conditions, though it will not tolerate prolonged dry periods. It performs best in warm, humid environments with good light — exactly the conditions found in a well-maintained tropical terrarium. Under the right conditions, it is a vigorous grower and will fill a vivarium with lush, broad foliage.

Easy to Manage, Hard to Kill

The real strength of this plant for reptile keepers is how well it responds to pruning. It can be cut back hard — right down to within a few leaf nodes of the soil — and will regrow with the same vigour. Trim the trailing vines back to the same point repeatedly and the main stem will gradually thicken, building a dense, jungle-like structure over time.
