Mites are one of the most common and serious health threats facing reptiles in captivity. CL Absolute+ Reptile Mite-Gone 100ml is a spray-format mite treatment designed to protect reptiles from mites and ticks without exposing them to harsh toxins. Suitable for both juvenile and adult animals, it works across two fronts: direct application to the animal and treatment of the vivarium itself.

How It Works

CL Absolute+ Reptile Mite-Gone protects naturally against mites and insects, helping to prevent the skin problems that infestations cause. Because it avoids toxic active ingredients, it is suitable for a wide range of reptiles — including younger animals where sensitivity is a concern. It is not intended for use on amphibians such as frogs or newts without extra caution.

Treating Your Reptile Directly

Spray liberally across the animal's skin, paying close attention to skin folds, between the legs, and around the vent — areas where mites commonly shelter. When treating around the head, keep the spray away from the nostrils, eyes, and mouth. Return the animal to its enclosure and allow the treatment to dry naturally.

Treating the Vivarium

• Remove the water bowl before treatment and keep it out of the enclosure for 24 hours to prevent the animal washing off the spray
• For best results, strip out substrate before treating — house the animal on paper towels until the infestation is cleared
• Do not reintroduce old substrate; freeze any new substrate for 48 hours before use to eliminate any mites it may carry
• Spray all internal surfaces and decor, allow to dry for five minutes, then wipe down with paper towel before returning the animal
