Blue River Fruit & Bug is a complete, balanced gel premix diet formulated for crested geckos and other frugivorous reptiles. Made fresh in the UK from natural ingredients, it combines real fruit with insect protein to closely reflect the variety these geckos eat in the wild. Available in a range of sizes to suit everything from a single animal to a larger collection.

What's in the mix

The formula blends black soldier fly larvae with mango and banana for a protein-rich, naturally sweet base. Honey and bee pollen add palatability without artificial flavourings or colours, while soya protein and brown rice flour round out the nutritional profile. Every ingredient has a job to do.

Preparation and use

Mix one part formula with two parts water and stir thoroughly. Consistency can be adjusted by adding more water as needed. Remove any uneaten food from the vivarium after 24 hours. Mixed diet can be stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to seven days.

Note: Magnesium carbonate can occasionally cause the mixed diet to take on a blue tint, which may resemble mould. This is harmless and disperses when stirred.
