What They Are

Mealworms are the larval stage of the darkling beetle (Tenebrio molitor). Their higher fat content means they work best as part of a varied diet rather than a sole feeder.

Feeding Guidance

Gut-load mealworms for 24–48 hours before feeding to improve their nutritional profile. Dust with an appropriate calcium or vitamin supplement at feeding time. Avoid leaving uneaten mealworms loose in the vivarium for extended periods.
