Livefoods arrive in a ventilated plastic tub lined with egg-box cardboard. The cardboard increases surface area, reducing overcrowding and the risk of trampling. Air holes along the sides maintain airflow while keeping the locusts securely contained. In colder months a heat pack may be included to maintain safe transit temperatures; in warmer months the outer box may carry additional perforations for cooling.

Keeping Your Livefoods in Good Condition

Store hatchling locusts at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and draughts. Feed them regularly on fresh leafy greens, carrot, squash, or sweet potato to keep them hydrated and nutritious. Remove any uneaten food daily to prevent mould and maintain a clean environment. Well-maintained locusts deliver significantly better nutrition to your animals than neglected ones.
