Appearance and Character

Native to Asia, this plant produces dense, arching foliage in a deep, near-black green that holds its colour throughout the year. In late summer, slender spikes carry small lilac flowers, which give way to glossy blue-black berries — a striking visual contrast against the dark leaves. The mounding form requires no pruning to maintain its shape.
