Tropical Torfin Complex is a concentrated peat extract designed for blackwater aquarium setups. It gently acidifies the water, reduces hardness, and produces the characteristic amber tint associated with natural blackwater environments — recreating conditions that soft-water tropical species genuinely need, not just tolerate.

What It Does

The humic compounds and tannins present in Tropical Torfin Complex actively inhibit fungal and bacterial growth, lowering the risk of infection without the need for chemical treatments. The slight acidification and reduction in water hardness bring parameters closer to those found in the natural habitats of soft-water species.

Suitable Species

Particularly well-suited to aquariums housing discus, angelfish, South American cichlids, characins, Colisa, and Corydoras. Any soft-water species that benefits from tannin-rich, slightly acidic conditions is a strong candidate for this conditioner.
