The PR Wood Humid Hide Large is a corner-fit humid hide designed specifically to support healthy shedding in snakes and lizards. Built from resin with a realistic wood-effect finish, it creates a discreet, enclosed microclimate within the vivarium when packed with moss or another absorbent substrate — giving reptiles the humidity boost they need without compromising the overall setup.

Design and Construction

Moulded to replicate the appearance of a natural tree trunk, this hide sits neatly into the corner of an enclosure to make efficient use of floor space. The resin construction is robust, easy to wipe clean, and holds up well to the damp conditions that come with humid hide use. The removable lid gives straightforward access for topping up substrate, checking on your animal, or cleaning between sheds.

Creating a Humid Microclimate

Line the interior with damp sphagnum moss or another moisture-retaining material and the hide will hold localised humidity around the animal while the rest of the vivarium remains at its usual level.
