ProRep UV Tube Guard 510mm / 20" HCG200 – Vivarium Lamp Guard

The PR UV Tube Guard HCG200 is a 510mm (20") lamp guard designed to protect reptiles from direct contact with UV fluorescent tubes, while also shielding fragile bulbs from damage within the enclosure. Built for wooden vivariums, it combines practical keeper access with a construction that minimises UVB loss through the mesh.

Mesh Design & UVB Transmission

The guard uses a wide-gauge mesh with a reflective finish, keeping UVB loss to a minimum as light passes through to your animals. Lightweight yet strong, the construction avoids the heavy-handed bulk that can compromise light output in a tightly fitted vivarium roof space.

Access & Maintenance

A hinged panel with double security fasteners allows the front face of the guard to open for bulb changes and routine maintenance. There is no need to detach the entire fixture from the vivarium roof — a straightforward time-saver when you are working with regularly replaced UV tubes.
