The PR Terrascaping Resin Colour Pigment in Red is a dedicated colouring agent designed to be mixed with PR Terrascaping Sealing Resin when building naturalistic vivarium backgrounds and features. It gives reptile keepers precise control over the final appearance of a habitat build, allowing earthy reds, terracotta tones, and deeper shades to be dialled in exactly as needed.

How It Fits Into a Terrascaping Build

The Terrascaping system follows a structured process: a structural core is formed using polystyrene or expanding foam, a texturing compound is then applied to create a realistic surface (both sold separately), and finally a sealing resin is used to waterproof the finished structure. This red pigment is added at that final stage — mixed directly into the sealing resin before application.

Colour Control in Your Hands

The intensity of the finished colour is determined by how much pigment is added to the resin mix. A smaller amount produces lighter, more washed-out tones, while a larger quantity creates a deeper, richer red. Different pigment colours from the Terrascaping range can also be combined to produce intermediate shades, giving considerable flexibility when trying to match a specific substrate, rock type, or natural environment.

Used as part of a complete Terrascaping build, this pigment helps produce vivarium features that are watertight, durable, and visually convincing — suited to both arid and bioactive setups where appearance and longevity both matter.
