PR Spider Life Substrate is a species-specific soil mix developed for spiders and scorpions from humid environments, including burrowing species. It combines structure and moisture retention to support natural digging behaviour — giving your animals the conditions they'd encounter in the wild rather than a compromise substrate that does neither job well.

What It's Designed For

Formulated specifically for humid-habitat spiders and scorpions, this substrate holds moisture evenly without becoming waterlogged. The blend provides enough structural integrity for burrowing species to construct and maintain tunnels without collapse, while remaining workable for surface-dwelling species too.

Depth Guidance

• Non-burrowing species: 2.5–5cm (1–2 inches) depth is sufficient for most setups
• Burrowing species: 5–10cm (2–4 inches) recommended to allow full burrow construction
• Spread evenly across the enclosure floor for consistent humidity distribution

Maintenance

Spot-clean regularly to remove soiled areas and keep the substrate fresh between full changes. Replace completely every 2–3 months, or sooner if conditions deteriorate. Maintain even moisture throughout — moist but never saturated.
